Birmingham Karting venues

The MD has given me the OK to organise a heavily subsidised karting event in/around Birmingham.
In order to not have my hopes of a win torn from under my feet, I've instantly dismissed the idea of teams etc. so It'll be a good old GP style race.
The question is, will twin engine karts be "too much" for people that have never done it before? I'm not bothered by them but some people may get on better in a gingle engined kart to start with?
There is a twin engine track in Birminham that looks pretty good but if we decide on single engines we may as well stay in Tamworth and go to Priory Park.
Any ideas?

I've done twin endgined karts @ Wheels a few times and to be honest their karts were passed their best 10 years ago! Unless they've upgraded them in the last 2-3yrs, I'd stay away.
An interesting option could be Teamworks (indoor). It's near the Brum centre and the karts are battery powered. Sounds ca4p, but it's brilliant fun. Painted concrete floor, LOADS of torque, it's almost like drifting when the operator grants full power to everyone

I've done both of these too, but I prefer Wheels due to the higher speeds and longer track. The Teamworks karting is far better than expected though- it's quite interesting going that quick in near silence, but the floor surface is very inconsistent grip wise. There's also relatively little chance for overtaking if during the tighter sections people aren't driving precisely to the lines.An interesting option could be Teamworks (indoor). Does it have to be in Birmingham? Could you travel a bit outside? If so, this place is a good (clean!) venue:
