Just in time for the hot weather my climate control doodah has developed problems.

Basically, there's no air coming out of any of the internal vents. I can change the fan speed via the + and - buttons, but nothing changes, still no air. If the car is hot inside, and I turn the temp to 16C and hit "Auto", usually the blowers go mad in an attempt to cool things down. Now, nothing. Same thing with the windscreen demister function - usually air speed goes to max, now, nothing.

When I put the air con on I can hear a dip in revs and a trickle (if that) of cold air comes out so air con itself seems to be working.

Any ideas? Fuse gone somewhere? Thanks.

Could be your final stage resistor or 'hedgehog'.

Easily obtainable from any BMW parts dealer smile

Great thanks. Any ideas on cost/labour time to replace?

TBH, it is a pretty straight foward DIY job if you are up to the challenge, cross head screw driver is as complex as it gets! Access isn't great though banghead

It is located behind the lower dash panel in the drivers side footwell (I think, on the E36).

You are probably looking at bit further north of £50 for an OEM part.

Google it, may be the resistor in the display module.
