What are the options these days??

I think ours is on its way out there was a little slip twice on the way back from Epynt Hillclimb. frown

Not happy, its only 8k old, if that. frown Will leave it as is and see whether it gets any worse - hopefully it'll last out the season? Maybe not the speed trials though... eek

What type of clutch is it? Happy with my std AP clutch fitted by APM, albeit only a year ago. Slipping is rare though isn't it?

BCA,

I have a spare friction plate if your Dad has worn it out - if its a standard clutch the plate should just drop in.

Worn out clutch plates are very rare though - broken fingers, or slave seals is the usual failure

Try adjusting the clutch pedal travel.

bought a brand new set of friction plates, starlocks and raceproved fingers to recondition my old clutch. Unfortunately as it was going to be the second rebuild (the first lasted 13kmiles) i was advised not to redo it, so im left with those bits. i paid 110 for them, and i can sell for the same price.

let me know if you are interested

There was an issue with the raceproved clutch, not sure what it was, I had to send mine back for a refund and get an AP one instead, this was last summer. Give Clever Trevor a ring

We'll leave it for the moment and keep an eye on it, if it starts slipping again or more we'll give CT a ring. thumbup

Just hope it lasts until the end of the season. smile

We use a raceproved one in the race car. They put up with our abuse very well.

My clutch was slipping last year due to a build up of pressure in the hydraulic system. This was showing itself as fluid shooting out of the bleed screw as soon as it was loosened. The fault appeared to be with the valve in the end of the Master Cylinder. Rebuilt the Master and was fine.
