Driving to the South of France and back

in my new Griff - well new to me.......12 years old.

what spares shall I take for on the side of road repairs?

I haven't had it long - and its low mileage - so I'm not hugely familiar with it.

IF it was the Caterham, i'd know to take spare throttle cable etc

Any common failures that I can

A) stock up on
B) fit in the boot.....

I am near Milau as I type on the way to Monaco with the Tam. Spares I have are. Oil and antifreeze. Plugs and leads. Throttle cable. Fan,water and oil sensor. Fuses and holder. Set of bulbs. The roads down here are great.

I've done Rome and back in a Caterham (without roof or doors).

So the Griff is going to be LUXURY!! :-)

Firstly, I can only suggest that the above list is a good one.

In addition, I find the Griffith to be fabulously comfortable. I'd truthfully say that it's one of (if not) THE most comfortable cars I've ever driven and that's from somebody who worked in the trade for many years driving all sorts. It can be thought of as an excellent GT in the right circumstances, IMO.

Although sensible and surely a standard requirement, the spares you take are unlikely to be used, believe it or not.

The Griff is a fabulous car provided it has been looked after properly.
