Has anyone actually got a picture of an intercooler kit for a superchager not fitted to a car?

Just very curious as to whats actually involved in it and what you get for the rather large amount of money they appear to be??

Thanks

I've got most of the bits of mine lying around the house/shed for the Magnacharger I've sat on my floor. With it what you get is radiator - similar can be had for couple of hundred max from ebay depending on how cheap you are prepared to be , a Bosch water pump - around 100 quid from US inc all the cost of importing or 140 over here, a plastic header tank that sits on top of the battery, relay and some wires for the pump and several yards of rubber hose. I reckon in total you're looking at 300-400 quids worth max in terms of parts. Biggest hassle in fitting it is that its easier with the front bumper off but having done it once even thats no big deal. Assuming your charger has the ports already there to take the coolant pipes then it really should be very simple to fit. Probably need a remap while you're at it though due to the reduced intake temps.

Plus the time it takes to remove and refit the supercharger, assuming its already on.

There is also a radiator beneath the supercharger this is the one that actually cool the air as it passes through it.

If you are thinking of putting together the external parts yourself have a look at this thread from LS1GTO.

What about the bit that sits under the supercharger which im guessing is the actual heat exchange? Thats the part I need a pic of more than all the other stuff.

You seem to be missing the fact you need 2 intercoolers "inside" the inlet plenum as well as the front mounted cooler.........which requires you to remove the pulley drive from the front of the charger.

These are bespoke to the Harrop unit...........

This is why im asking so I can get the facts right, everyone ive asked about the intercoolers over the past couple of months has either not replied (harrop especially) or have given limited info and I have no idea whats involved in the intercooling of a supercharger hence why would like some pics so can get a clear idea.

So only harrop can supply an intercooler kit for me then? If so great as they dont even respond!

Global thanks for the links will have a look.

Doesnt sound like I have much choice other than to go to Harrop then!

After a look on their website they fail to mention a single U.K dealer, is their a list of who deals with them direct in the U.K?

Thanks
