Anyone had the pleasure of dealing with this fine financial institution?

My partner was over the moon to have been accepted on a degree course in Social Work, after applying three years consecutively, and after a three year slog doing voluntary work, working in childrens homes, mental homes etc to gain experience to get her place.

Student Finance England are now the body who process grant and bursary applications, and after submitting her forms at the end of Feb, they are no closer to agreeing her funding. She has had knock back after knock back, sent forms in three times by recorded delivery (never received, apparently), and was put on hold for 30 mins a few days ago. She starts University in September and is resigning herself that shes not going to be able to go, as the University will just invoice her for the fees if her funding thru Student Finance England has not been processed.

She put in a complaint to them and just got a standard email reply with no follow up whatsoever.

Everytime she calls them, she gets told something completely different from 'Yes we have your forms, you'll hear in the next two weeks' - Then calling two weeks later to be told 'Sorry, we've never received your application' She got off the phone to them earlier this evening with tears streaming down her face.

Any ideas much appreciated.
