I'm off to see Lenny Kravitz pretty soon. Is it ok to take cameras even if it's just a lil' pocket camera?

I reckon you'll get away with a pocket camera, but nothing larger.

BUT 99.99999% of concert photography is utterly appallingly dull. Would you not consider forgetting the camera and just enjoy the concert?

And remember, your on camera flash will light up the ten feet in front of you, not a distant stage!

I quite like some I took of the band at a wddding last year

I'd recommend enjoying the gig rather than trying to photo it...

the best thing to do is hold your phone up in the air and video it.

Yep, love it when the sister in law comes around and we all sit and watch the entire Spice girls concert that she recoreded using this method and transfered to dvd.

Its like sitting through a 3 hour stroke

You hide behind your non-existant profiles slagging me & my website off, lets have a look at your website if you have one which I doubt!

What the hell has a comment like that got to do with a thread about taking photographs at a concert?? confused

Even looking at the links posted above I'm none the wiser.

I think he thought my comment was aimed at him, istead of at Scho. I actually do have to suffer mobile phone recordings of the Spice girls. Its great, really, its an insite to my life in 20 years time when I finally have a stroke.

At New Years I watched a mobile phone recording of Madagascar 2, half in Russian.
