cold running issues

Hi guys posted this issue before but didnt get much responce.The issue is that when my 1999 318(e46)is cold it runs like a bag of s
t it has no power and sometimes backfires.However it idles perfectly.As soon as it warms up abit (200yds up the road)it seems alot better,though sometimes even when upto temp if you floor the throttle it sometimes seems to hold back before picking up.Also with the car idling if I floor the throttle it seems to die a little bit then pick up properly.Im thinking maybe MAF or LAMDA.Is there any way I can test if any of these is at fault or if you have any other ideas what it could be?Oh sorry there are no warning lights up on the dash either didnt know if this was relevent.
