Hi,
Just wanted to say hello. This is the first Merc I have bought so I will be spending some time on here now.
I have been trying to contact Merc-care in Leeds but the phone No at the top of this page under Merc specialists sounds just like a fax No!
The mobile is for a guy who has left the business!
Has anyone here any experience of these people?

Cheers

Paul.

Welcome to Mercedes ownership.

Is it a new(ish) car or an older example (R107 or R129).

I only run to a 190E - turned 20 this week and owned for over 8 years - and an E220 (W124 series) estate bought last year to carry the increasing number of dogs. Its also done a good job of emptying my wallet - but thats love for you (head gasket / hydraulic and other leaks etc).

We keep looking at SLK's and CLK cabrios but I don't want rid of the 190 and storage is becoming an issue. The estate fits in the garage (just !! - touching rear wall and front door) with three bikes down the side - as well as a 125cc scooter - plus a recumbent trike sits on the bonnet / windscreen !!! The 190 lives in my mother in laws garage.

One of my colleagues used Merc Care once and was happy but that's a couple of years ago. Has the sales side gone ? Just done a credit check - business wound up. And the website won't even load up for me although it seems that service was still ongoing ?

I have always used Steve Magson in Pickering - slightly out of your way. Ably assisted by John and Paul et al. (SM Autocare). He likes his older stuff - but has more 'exotica' around from time to time - S600 - AMG G Wagen et al. And despite workload has dropped tools to help - hydraulic line started leaking the day before we set off on a holiday to Islay - least I could do was bring him a bottle back - plus about 12 for myself !!!

Steve is listed in the Merc Club Directory.

If you did want someone nearer there is Scotts Auto Tec in Leeds listed in the directory, but I have no experience. They come up OK on Good Garage Scheme.

If you've just got the car hopefully you won't need any help soon - but - you always need to be prepared. Enjoy your car.
