Can someone please recommend a flying game

Hi (I should have put 'PC game' in the title) Mods could edit?

I'm looking for a flying game for a man who used to be in the RAF years ago.

He just wants to be able to fly around and shoot guns. Unfortunately, he only has full use of one hand, so he can only play using a joystick.

This man loves Spitfires, so if anyone can recommend a game he can fly a spitfire, that would be awesome.

I have ordered MS flight simulator, but I'm not so sure a joystick can be used, or if it will work with vista.

Right, first off yes a joystick should work fine, look for a USB one and I'm sure you can pick up a good one for about £40.

As for games, IL-2 Sturmovik and its sequels comes highly recommended, features just about any WW2 plane you'd care to fly (along with some of the more experimental craft in one of the sequels) for both sides, so if he wants to know whether a Focke was better then he can find out.

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 is the one to get, it includes everything released for the series. Also Battle of Britain 2 is decent. The developers of Il-2 are also working on a fow up - Battle of Britain, Storm of War I think.
