BMW E39 530i on LPG ??
Discussion
Im looking at perhaps doing a deal with a guy with an E39 530i Sport running on LPG.

At the moment, I have a 2001 325Ci Convertible, which I love, but unfortunately I was made redundant a little while ago, and the fuel consumption has finally become an issue..
I have always loved the E39 sport's but I wanted to get an idea for what sort of MPG I would expect from an LPG 530i
HAS ANYONE ELSE GOT A GAS 530i??
WHAT SORT OF MPG DO YOU GET??
I don't want to rush into doing a deal for soemthing that isn't that much cheaper to run, as I was also toying with the idea of a 530d (aaaaah! Diesel!) so any advice would be greatfully received!
Thanks!

Hi I got a 2001 530i Tourer which is ran on LPG.
My best bit of advice is to find a good local garage what will do a good job, make sure you know what make of LPG system they will install then try to find how many other garages in your area deal with this system (I found out the hard way).
I've got a 56Ltr tank installed in the spare wheel well, the air pump for the suspension had to be moved from this location to one of the storage area's to the side. You only get 80% capacity out of your tank, the most I managed to squeeze into my was 46Ltrs the average is about 43Ltrs.
I get between 220-260 miles per tank (I used to get about 300 miles on a run, but this is one of the reasons I need to find a garage to check the system as the one I used to install has decided to shut up shop)
If installed correctly then it is a good way to go and you will not notice any power loss/difference between petrol.
