Can anyone advise?

The central trim strip that runs horizontally across the dash, above the glove compartment, seems to have come adrift at one end. Bearing in mind this is a rattly old diesel (E60) it vibrates like a routemaster when you start it up and is most annoying.

Does anyone know how it fastens? I've done the obvious clouting but got no-where and I don't want to subject the poor old car to my local dealer!

Cheers.

I don't know for sure, but if you can get under the end of it I'd try some double sided tape. It might work

The whle thing just pulls away.

Start on the passenger side with a blunt knife behind the end and prize it up and away from the dash, then you can get your fingers behind it and pull it off completely, probably just one of the pins come out of the plastic holder they sit in.
