What's the ID of the fuel lines?

Title says it all, are the fuel hoses in the engine bay 8mm ID?

I'm thinking about Fluorosilicone Hose as it seem to be just about the best available. Any comments from anyone?

iirc 8mm is used alot but 7.5 is original spec ..

I have all new braided steel hoses fitted this spring. I will check the invoice to see what the ID was. They are heavy and were expensive but they will not wear or fail in the event of a shunt

It is 8mm I have just replaced all my main rubber with silicone s/s braided reccomended by a rally outfit in wales who also supplu some very smart end jublee clips in different colors. Cant think of there name right now but can look it up I bought 2m tube six ends for about 35?

the stuff I used was AV108-8 SSB which is 8mm internal diameter stainless steel braided hose.

the end couplings were

14B and 12B on one hose and 14B and 1/4 90B on the other

Silicon hose is great at withstanding heat, but hideously expensive (compared to ordinary rubber) and physically much more fragile.

I wouldnt trust a flouro lined silicone hose for fuel anyway, Ive seen the lining on the inside of hoses come away before now. Rubber all the way for me and inspect them regularly.
