What's the best thing you've won? Anyone here won a car, or the gadget show bonanza perhaps?

Congratulations – you’re a winner with Comedy Central and Virgin Electric Magazine.
An amazing Apple Mac Book Air, 24” Apple LED Cinematic display and a full series download of South Park and the Sarah Silverman program are all yours.
I've won a few bits and pieces over the years, from a camelback water rucksack thing to a gourmet hamper but this is the best at about 2 grand worth! So, thank you to Virgin Media and Comedy Central Date: Tue, 2 Jun 2009 15:53:13 +0100

Nice work!
Do they want you to send the monies for couriers via Western Union?

"I will let you know by the special grace of God when the boxes are airlifted."No, I was convinced when I checked the email headers, that the domain existed and that they were only asking for my address. And a few days later a UPS courier arrived at the doorstep with some boxes. The sensible thing to do would be to sell them as I don't *need* another laptop, but I'm a sucker for gadgets so I can't bring myself to part with them. I have to say, the LED external monitor is astonishingly good. The screen is glass, and it includes speakers, a camera, USB ports and a power supply for the Macbook (in addition to the one that came with it). Very well thought out. I think there's an adaptor available to plug in a PC to the Apple monitor, I'll have to check that out.

erm most recently a 'signed' (whoooOOOooo) DVD of Wheeler Dealers.
best win tho was a 4 day trip to Spa-Franconchamps for the bikers classic last July - inc. Ferry, Full board at the hotel plus VIP passes to the circuit (inc the lounge in the Uniroyal Tower - free drinks and lunch each day plus watched the British GP sat next to John and Henry Surtees and several riders/team owners from the MotoGP and Superbike champs. while lunch was served.)

My Mrs buys those trashy Take a Break and That's Life magazines every week. About 3 years ago, when we were on holiday abroad and I was bored at the side of the pool, I decided to start doing the competitions in them. She started sending the answers in and we've been doing them every week now ever since and we've won sod all.
That's probably 25 competition entries per week, every week for 3 years. 3,900 competition entries and nothing to show for it.
I keep saying that I won't bother doing the puzzles this week but I always end up doing them.
