this is from august 09 fast ford mag out now.it shows changing the open diff for a quaife mtx 75box

yeah,not a bad read as said there are several variations of the mtx box but internals are similar to each other.took my cossie box apart and it looks exactly the same.even though mine is running fine i think i will take mine apart this winter also

Art do you need any special tools to get it apart ??

the only thing i needed from my friendly garage was a press for bearing removal and rebuilding.the cossie box went to the gearbox man for shot peening .the quaife is so easy to install.if you are just removing and replacing the diff then once the box is out the car it takes no more than an hour for this procedure

Whilst the box is out was going to get Gearbox man to shot peen gears ect to make it stronger ,need to get a price for him to do the gear work and me to fit the diff !!...fancy getting together over the winter and doing 2 !!

fitting the diff is not a big job if the box is apart, it just slots in

get the gearbox man to fit it at the same time
