Can somebody tell me about TURBO's :)

I know a tiny bit about turbos, just want to know more!I know what a turbo is, how it works, what it needs; I just don't know 'what' the variations are; can somebody explain to me what a twin scroll turbo is/how it works, about ball bearing turbos and hybrids, what is the external waste gate(is this the exhaust port/blow off valve?), and can somebody explain about what the sizes are and what they mean(T25,T28 etc) and what cars these would come on. Would it be possible to run a turbo from management fora non turbo car with just a higher MAP sensor?
