Just watched the car chase. What an amazing feat of film! Honest to god that BMW would undoubtedly be the greatest car ever to have. Shame he drove it off a parking garage.

What are your thoughts guys?

E38's rule. Shame it's such a tragically poor film.

Fail.

I present Die Another Day as evidence.

Brosnan films got worse each time he made a new one.

Die Another Day won bonus points for bringing back Aston Martin. I think TND has very little going for it.

Jonathan Pryce as the supervillain!

Stealth boat!

Newspapers!

FFS! banghead

But all those points get taken away because they made it invisible! Invisible for gods sake.

I quite like TND, I would never put it in my bottom 5 Bond films! They are Moonraker, The Dalton ones, Thunderball and The World Is Not Enough. DAD gets points from me for being the first one I saw at the cinema!

Most of the Brosnan films had an Aston in them- the DB5, remember.

But I agree: all of the Brosnan films are daft, badly written awfulness.

Compare any of them with a good spy film (say From Russia With love, OHMSS or The Living Daylights) and see what a good film Bond can do.

Or even Casino Royale. But not Quantum of solace

I personally think Goldeneye, bar a few off moments (which all Bond filsm have, tbf), is an utterly brilliant film, and one of my favourites smile

Goldeneye is a great Bond flick, come on! A tank chase!

Personally I quite like TND, its got Terri Hatcher in suspenders for one but quite a lot of it is rubbish. World is Not Enough is all rubbish and so is Die Another Day, echo above, an invisible fking Aston? ps off.

And I hate all the litte throw backs to the old films!

I actually like Tomorrow Never Dies, it's a film very much of it's time and has a decent concept, a little let down by the execution but still good.

Goldeneye is the best bond film though. As has been said... Tank Chase! Classic Bond moment.

Brosnan was great as bond, unfortunately, it went rapidly downhill after TND. Goldeneye was one of my all time favourites, TND was ok, but you could sense the ridiculousness sneaking in. Die another day was 2 hours of my life i am not getting back - the sleep machine? diamonds for a face? a stupid space laser? give me a break. As much as i dont really like the new bond films (they are good films, but not bondey enough) the series needed something to bring it back to earth.

Fair points, DAD was pretty bad!
