Quick advice please on wheel colour change

Decided to get my alloys (VXR) re-sprayed black. The guy is offering two finishes Satin or Gloss.

Which finish did some of you go for when you had your wheels done? The wheel guy says Satin will look good but I'm not sure.

Do you like the look of patent leather shoes? No. Right, it's satin then. Thinking of having my track wheels done the same.

So you've decided then Paul that black's the way to go?
Haven't done mine yet...more down to oppertunity rather than cost. Where are you getting yours done? Locally?

Lol, I get your point but some pictures I've seen never seem clear enough for me to see the finish properly!

Paul, getting them done in Wrexham in July. Full restoration as the finish on them at the mo is pretty poor!

I'm home in August so I'll give you a bell & I'll come for a butchers! Mine are getting bad now too...corrosion appearing around the valve & also where the paint line is on the inside.

Had mine done i gloss and they are a true bitch to keep clean.......will go satin when have them re-done!

Had mine done in gloss charcoal metallic powder-coat. Easy to clean and looks good to me.

Satin it is then.. The current Shadow Chrome finish never looks 'clean' for some reason and look even worse once the AP's have been put to the test.

I have a set of wheels being made and they're coming in satin black. I think that will look good against yellow.
