n/s bonnet damage is going to be £800 to replace the bonnet (if it can't be fixed), then £500 to spray it and blend it... Add another £700 for miscelaneous bits (indicators, headlights other minor panel repair & vat) and you've got £2000.

Why would a Tidy Low mileage S3 be a CatD write off.. with (generously) 2k's worth of damage?

Hmmmmm...

Matt.

it does have s1 wheels, well spotted, but it does have the later dash board and big lamps in bottom of the bonnet, im considering making a bid, luckily i have a new bonnet at work i bought for a project i never finished, it would have been nice to find the previous owner, for history etc.

I live about 20 mins from Grimsby - if anyone on this site is really serious I am prepared to go and have a look see for you. Would have to be this weekend though as I work in the other direction.

I wondered that... the only bits of the bonnet you can see look fine so for it to be screwed beyond repair there must be some very very hard localised front damage.. Lamp-post??

Either way, I'd be a bit worried about the Chassis still being square..
Cheers,
Matt.

Any radiator company will recore them provided the end caps aren’t damaged, should expect to pay around £120

Yep its in the PH classifieds as well, far to dear at £4.5k when it need approx 2k to bring it up to good condition. It will still be on the register on completion,so £6.5k seems dear to me when you can pick up fair/good for around £6-7k i.e Teds S4

the bonnet has obviously been gaffa-taped down, so must be off-square (when my front hinge broke last month it still could be shut straight) - so I think that the damage must be more than the hinge mounting...

he also says the rad mounts are damaged... I'd be wary...
