I've managed to source out some rebuilt rear calipers for $82 USD a piece. If you look online that's one heck of a deal so I'm getting a pair, but the one thing they say they cannot source for me is the bolt on handbrake assembly. I could polish up the old ones, but I'd rather have rebuilt or new. Where can I get some? Even the Jag dealership here came up dry.

Are they from a Jag or TVR only items?

We have a bunch of good Jag parts dealers here as I believe you have there.

Maybe use youyr old one as a pattern at a local engineering shop?

Have you tried TVR NORTH AMERICA in Scarborough, Ontario or Marshall Moore at CLASSIC MOTOR WORKS in the US?
Links to both here.....

I didn't know about the Canadian site, and I did browse Marshall's inventory. Thanks.

Bog-standard Jaguar bits smile The pads to fit them cost an absolute fortune as I recall, don't overadjust your handbrake or the pads will be history in about 10 miles.

Mike.....

You could try calling Marshall, or get in touch by e-mail. I think he has access to more parts than what are shown on the site.
John in Scarborough also has a large stock of parts. If your car was originally sold in Canada, he likely was the one who imported it into the country, and may well remember it.

I had new discs, pads, and handbrake pads fitted by my local garage last summer.

My receipt doesn't differentiate between handbrake and 'normal' pads, but I believe they sourced them through someone like TVRcarparts.

Invoice shows APLP133 brake pads £25.46.

YMGDB1640 brake pads £45.14.

Discs were £58.46, incidentally (YM825571)...all prices less the dreaded VAT.

They did a first class job, and I still have a fully-functioning handbrake.biggrin
