Guys, having some furniture made, probably from pine, want to give it that distressed paint finish, ( I think it's called lime wash/wax ), or something like that.
Anyway, is this easy enough to do, if so, pointers please.
Thanx.

Need a betteridea ofwhatyoumean really.

Putting lime on something gives it a white look in the grain.

Distressed paintwork can be done by doing a base coat and a top coat in different colours and then rubbing down the top coat.

When we do it, we use Annie Sloane chalk based paint and usually go in with a cream under coat with what ever top colour the customer wants. This is then "warn" back in the areas that would naturally wear. Once this is done, we use an antique wax over the lot to put a slight aged tint to it.
That's it!
