HAVING STRIPPED THE FRONT COIL OVER SHOCKS S3 2.9 V6, IAM TRYING TO FIND THE SPRING RATING? THE SHOCKS ARE AVO ADJUSTABLES, AFTER A PHONE CALL TO AVO THEY SAID THE SPRINGS ARE NOT FROM THEM AS THEY ETCH THE POUNDAGE INTO THE SPRINGS ,THE ONLY THING I CAN SEE IS A BLOB OF LIGHT GREEN PAINT ON THE TOP EDGE OF EACH SPRING AND THE LETTER TV07 ANY IDEAS THANKS KEV

Don't know the answer, but I think you'll find the original dampers were Koni not AVO. Perhaps the person who replaced them kept the original springs though, which would explain why AVO don't recognise them. The original springs would have been rising rate springs with the top 3-4 coils close together. Do yours look like that?

the springs and shocks dont appear to be very old and have been changed as apair .?i cannot under stand why the springs were bought from else where and not from avo with the shocks ???

My AVO's came from David Geralds, they supplied with "their own" springs not AVO springs

contacted david gerald and it appears the springs have originally come from them,comfirming they are standard rating ,but unwilling to give me the pound rating saying this is confidetial mmm ? can anyone confirm the standard spring poundage for the front springs thanks kev

Contact Derek from Absolutely Shocks. He'll be able to advise spring length, poundage/rating ....and probably try to flog you some Gaz shocks. He knows the S very well and will match the ratings to your preference.
