The start of The Cannonball Run Europe 2009.

We've got plenty of eye candy for you. Everything from an SLR McLaren, 430 Scuderia Spider, plenty of Porsches, BMW's and Aston's to a MASSIVE 10 ton Peterbilt truck and an original 1970's beach buggy! We'd love to see a few PH'ers turn up and say hello. wavey

Place: Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, Surrey
Timing: Cars will arrive at Sandown Park at 1.00 pm.
First car will pull onto the starting grid at 3.00 pm
Entry: Free
Parking: Free and there's plenty of space.
PS: Don’t forget your camera!

Rich people in expensive sports cars revving the nuts off them loudly? Sounds good to me. If I wake up in time. nuts

Who's up for a convoy over to this? Probably leaving from around Reading/Windsor, but I don't really know any of the roads on the way so if I do a route it will probably be guesswork. Also, as It's going to be the middle of the day maybe a hoon is not the best idea.

I think we are up for that - can't make it to Goodwood so this seems like a great idea!

We're in West End (near Lightwater) and would probably be up for a convoy if anybody is going this way.

I'll be there with middle mini-Kermit (aged three and three quarters).

Mrs Kermit has possibly slightly over-hyped this to him, so he is now expecting racing cars!

We'll be there - red Elise 111R with a private plate, and a couple of friends who I think have a Mini of some sort.

I just made it, but it wasn't particularly good. A couple of nice cars and the viper tankslapping and very nearly wiping out a crowd and a shed was about all that happened.

With the exception of the Mc Merc, there wasn't really anything that you wouldn't see fairly frequently on PH hoons and the like. I was glad I hadn't made a long journey for it.

LOL I am in one of those photo's! I was one of the crowd the Viper nearly wiped out - my friend and I were contemplating making a leap for it behind the tree near us!

It wasn't worth making a trip for, was expecting a bit more fuss made of it all tbh - only a 2-3 cars seemed to be in the spirit of it, and there wasn't exactly any drama or "event" made of it frown

We were thinking about doing it on eyear so it'll be interesting to hear how fun it was smile
