but I don't wanna be a pirate!totally O/T but blood is always a shade of red from a dark maroon colour to bright red depending on the oxygenation level of the blood at the time. At no point is your blood blue. This may be a bit of a "whoosh!" moment on my part but I had to seriously explain this to a friend the other day!
