Kiwi Tuscan Racer - 5.8l Rover

Carl Hansen's much modified Tuscan Racer had a brief feature on NZV8 TV here in NZ this afternoon which I saved and uploaded here:

Last I heard it was pushing out around 600hp, but it's had more development since then... It's a bit special

Doubt he's still using Rover head castings at 5.8l and 600 bhp...

Yes .. I think he is using the special block Rover developed for the MG land speed record car.

Wildcat further developed it so it's now got 6 head bolts per pot, also think the cylinder spacing if slightly different too.

That make sense. Bores are bigger diameter iirc so as to use chevrolet parts?

4 inch bore .. with siamesed piston pairs.. no water between the cylinders like the 400 cu in Chevy.
