I was having a casual play on FUEL this morning, but then thought...hmmm I'm hungry, so I went and sorted me out some breakfast.

I was downstairs for about an hour, checked the TV for when some good stuff came on and then came back up stairs to get changed. I turned on the fkbox 360 and saw three flashing lights blinking back at me...the anger rose....ah but wait....I was sure I'd saw this before and checked the power cable....it was a bit loose, so I put it back in a fired the box back up.....but no it was still blinking at me!!!!!!

So needless to say...I AM BLOODY fkING ING bdING ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


So it will have to be shipped back to Microsoft or will the towel trick allow me to get online for tonights INC and hopefully extend that for the Swinging championship....or am I best to leave it alone.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't go wrapping it up in towels... Shouting, Swearing and kicking - sure. Setting your house on fire...

Make sure you make your thoughts obvious to the person on the phone, I'll look out that number I used previously.

Now, apparently Bill Gates is not available through Reading, but from that number I managed to speak to a guy who refered me to someone of higher stance than himself and he phoned me back within the hour.

Explain to him your upmost dissapointment of their product and how you have been a proud, active, PAYING subscriber of Xbox Live for almost 2 years and this fk up has made you strongly reconsider your choice of platform.

Thanks for that Nick, I gave them a ring and they've got the fking cheek to not deal with a angry Scotsman shouting at them about an RROD on a Sunday apparently I've got to call during office hours Moday to Friday......fking cheek.

Yeah if it's less than a year old they usually do a straight swap. Got mine done on the spot in a certain Game store.

If you do that tonight you should be able to arrange for UPS to collect it tomorrow aswell.

Its a bd. I have had it twice! On both occasions it went off to be repaired in germany and I got a brand new one back. Once with a premium and once with an Elite. The orignal elite was bought to cover me over during the time the Premium was away and it went in 3 months.

I've had it twice now.

First time was around 6 months after buying it. Pretty pissed but meh. Sent it back. 3 weeks later, new one (not my old one fixed), arrives in the post. 5 mins after setting it up and turing it on, the ring appears!... VERY VERY pissed. Have shouty shouty phone called with customer services who send us another new console within 3 days. Result.

How about just taking it back in the box with all the bits and bobs to GAME/Argos and say you lost the recipt as it was about 6 months ago you bought it...

I'm sure they just claim back from Microsoft for dead boxes anyway so they're not really going to be losing out..

Had this about 18 months ago. I just went onto the Xbox website, printed off the return address prepaid sheet thing, stuck it in a box and dropped it down the post office and 3 weeks later I had a nice refurbed Xbox.

Pain in the arse but at least they admit there is an issue.

Yeup they do that! Microsoft will do a RROD out of warranty. Cant complain about that can you?
