Front Wheel Bearing

I've been trying to change a front wheel bearing on my 400se. I bought a kit for a Cortina Mk5. Everything fitted OK until I came to put the disc back on the shaft & it wouldn't go. The shaft measures 29mm & the inside diameter on the rear bearing only measures 27mm. The front bearing fits fine. Any ideas?

wheel bearings are from mk2 granada front and rear and stub axle the uprights are from mk5 cortina

I've fitted Mk.3 Escort rear bearings to the front of my 350i.
Can't remember who told me....
I remember they are Mondeo on the rear....

Thanks, I'll send the Pie Man out tomorrow to get one for me. He had an inkling it might have been Granada front suspension.
