Run through UK
Discussion
Hey guys I just wanted ask if anyone knows of any good roads in Wales and Scotland. I am planning a long weekend run from Bristol through Wales up to Scotland and back down again. If anyone has got pictures as well it would be much appreciated, plus any suggestions would be an added bonus
The West Coast of Scotland has by far the best roads in the UK - but they start about 40 mins north of Fort William, and go all the way up to Durness - so it's a way to get here!

ETA - If you can, don't come here between late May and Mid Sept - LOADS of caravans and dodgy driving. If that's when you are heading up, do your driving very early and you'll not see another car.
If you need B&B / Hotel info anywhere round here (Wester Ross), e mail me.

As you come from Bristol, take the bridge over to Chepstow, then for your first forray into Wales take the B4235 towards Usk. It's possibly my favourite road in the UK.
This may give you a bit of inspiration for the first bit of Wales: http://chriscarblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/run-to-hi...
I can't help much with North Wales or Scotland I'm afraid. If you come across a PHer called Plenty he'd be a great person to speak to, having just done a similar trip in his 968.
