Heard that the A20/A228 had been closed for a time yesterday on the travel news, and groaned thinking about how it would delay my journey. Then heard the reason why this morning. So that explains the Police Van parked up on the verge by the Kings Hill roundabout yesterday evening.
I'm going to start sounding like my Grandmother - but what is the world coming too that someone would dare do this.
Obviously I wish the poor bloke involved a speedy and full recovery. I hope the penalty for attempted murder of a policeman is life. Hope they find the second person quickly - great place to get lost if you don't want to be found though.

I've never seen so many police cars in one place! The whole of King's Hill was literally crawling with patrol cars.
If I'm ever unfortunate enough to get run over by a scrote who's just stolen my car, I hope that 100 police cars are sent to find the scumbag.
But somehow, I don't think that will happen

I was attacked unprovoked once on Whiteladies Road, Bristol. On the other side of the road an area police car had pulled someone for speeding.
Once copper ran over to help out, and his WPC colleague stayed in the car. She radioed for help when the PC was attacked by 2 assailants.
Within seconds 7 cars and riot van arrived from a nearby police station, the wrong way down a one way street.

I hope they get this scrote.
Nobody likes a fresh SP50 in the post but when it really comes down to it the guys who are out and about *really* are there to help us.
Any assault on a rozzer out to carry a draconain sentence.
Note: All of the above assumes this guy wasn't in a talivan. I can't wait for the inevitable first Talivan lynching.
