After ages of umming and ahhing, the watch I've been looking at is massively discounted at the jewellers!

So finally took the plunge and bought this:

Unfortunately I've done my back in and am housebound for a few days, so my fiance popped out to get it and the strap needs taking in a little bit, but I love it!

Doesn't look too small on my wrist (I'm 5'8) and although I won't be taking it racing or anything, at least it should be pretty hard wearing smile

Never owned a "proper" watch, best learn how to take care of this !

Congrats. From what I've heard, the ceramic cases of Rados are extremely hard wearing- it should stay looking great for years. Don't think they're that water resistant at all, though. So take it racing but don't do the dishes with it! biggrin

my father bought a ceramic jubilee about 15 years ago and wore it every day up until he bought an IWC last year and the thing still looks brand new. Enjoy your new baby!

Good news smile I was worried about it breaking as I'd heard ceramic while good at resisting scratches etc., wasn't great if you drop it or bang it.

Still not sure about taking it racing though!

Will post a pic on my wrist at some point - need to get a link taken out I think because it drops down a long way on my wrist at the moment..
