What I love about my Cerbera is you discover something new when you least expect. Grovelling round polishing my sills (as you do) I noticed this fan labelled knob.

scratchchin What does it do?

I'm hoping its Nitros! Yahoo! biglaugh

Rarely seen one with a knob attached but believe it's the temperature control for the air conditioning.

It may be worth a quick search but I seem to remember the advice being not to move it by much when adjusting it, I think there were reports of people cranking it around too far and actually causing some damage by running it all too cold or something.

It IS the stat for the air-con.

Turning it too far will cause the evportaor to ice over.

It will thaw out once you turn off the air-con but there will be no cooling while it is iced up as the air won't be able to circulate through it.

That's why it is so hidden away then. I will leave it well alone! Thanks to you all.

I's got a nice little bracket too rather then being cable tied to part of the body/frame.

That's handy - My air con is crap !! I am now going to search for my "knob" (Leave it !) - So clockwise is colder right ... any guide on increments of adjustment - Noted about what happens if I turn it too much. These things have enough issues without me actually creating one !

Mines right the way round smile icey cold and its not frozen yet woohoo the only draw back it when its really hot you get condensation forming on the cold air pipes which drips onto your legs which can be a little unnerving and blinking freezing.....
