Just found a nest of these little lovies under one of my sheds at the back of the garden biggrin

Sat for over an hour pretending to be an air traffic controller for The Royal Bumble Bee Airforce! (RBBAF!!) Very cool to watch

So how do I help these little guys on? Any ideas?

I want to install Anti Wasp Weaponry too as I hate wasps!

Well, believe it or not, Bumble Bees are protected - in so much as you're not allowed to eradicate their nest.

Wasps are useful little blighters too, and won't have any interest in Bumble Bees - especially since a Bumble's sting is considerably stronger than a normal Bee.

Hornets.

Now they're nasty great monsters.

Picture above isn't real and isn't a wasp - it's a Bee, and they're not that small.

WTF are wasps useful for???

Bees I like. I've planted most of my garden to attract bees and butterflies and it works on the whole; I get 5-6 bee varieties, including the honey bee hive in the garage fascia boards.

I'd just leave it alone if I were you, we've got 2 nests in our back garden and the bees aren't a problem at all. We've got a nest of wasps (I'm not going to get into the whole wasp's/wasps' argument!) in our roof that I'm going to have nuked soon by our local pest controller (who's called Atilla!) but I'm quite happy to leave the bumble bees alone.
