Probably most of you out there already know this but, treating the Monaro VXR to a little Liquid Leather TLC today and noticed that when I lifted the back passenger driver side rear head rest, there is a little yellow emergency handle that when you pull it, pops the boot !! Handy if you shut your keys in there away from home !

Nice one!

I recently noticed a hook in on the inside of the bootlid. Anyone know what that's for?!

What's the plastic thingy in the middle of the VXR8's rear parcel shelf?

Nothing near it to clip in or the like.

I might be missing some fantastically useful function through ignorance (such are aspect of my life, ha, ha)

i had the boot unlock thingy go wrong a while ago (fixed now via the fish) the glove box button and button on my key fob had no effect, it just made the usual click n whurl noise but it was still locked. The yellow pull loop behind the head rest worked a treat to pop it.

Ok whilst we're on the subject i found a little black pulley thingy at the front underside of the rear seats. They look a bit like the buttons you used to get on old duffel coat's (see Paddington bear for reference) (All be it his were brown and wooden and these are black plastic) I gave um a tug but nothing happened. I was kind of hoping they were ejector pulleys for activation whilst kids are doing my fruitscratchchinTIA

Mel, they are tags to remove the lower rear seat bench cushion. There's one under each rear passenger cushion. If you pull them together at the same time, you'll hear a loud 'click'. You should then be able to pull the cushion up and out of the car. Amazing what you find under the rear seat - sticky sweets, pound coins - spare key...

It's something to do with ISO child seat fitting....

I spent ages trying to find something that might attach to it, so had to go look it up!
