Fantastic day out at EGSV. Shame the Lancaster couldn't join in the BBMF but the highlight for me was the amazing aerobatic Glider display being towed by Pawnee and joined by a Twister.











I :belm: at myself for leaving the zoom for my proper camera at home, so these were taken on a compact. smile

Saw that at Duxford a couple of years ago. Very very impresive, here he is tailsliding the glider:



He then landed it and came to a halt precisely within his slot in the flightline. Some of the most impressive flying I've ever seen.

Another closeup of the Pawnee. Looks rather agricultural, and indeed was used as a crop sprayer.

The Twister. This was apparently inspired by the Spitfire, and you can certainly see it. Relatively quiet and very agile. A lovely aircraft (Santa, if you're listening...)

They are flying tractors. Note the roll cage over the cockpit.
