A little birdie tells me that the T440 has got a new name (to be revealed at MPH03).

It's going to be called the "Typhon". Not sure whether that's a mis-spelling of "Typhoon" or "Typhoo", but it's nice to see that TVR have:

a) Gone back to using names.
b) Stopped calling multiple models "Tuscan".

Good, they have finally listened to the call from many PH'ers to call something in the family the Typhon.

It's truly educational being on the GS you know. There's nothing like a little bit of Greek mythology before lunch

Typhoon would be better though.

Get it in full Battle of Britain colours with RAF roundalls and go out to do battle with the hun!

Typhon is the offspring of Wheeler and Samuelson. His mate is Tuscan and both were so fearful that when the engineers saw them they changed into their overalls and fled in terror. Typhon's 440 bhp touched the stars, venom dripped from his evil headlights, and lava and red-hot stones poured from his gaping exhausts. Hissing like a hundred snakes and roaring like a hundred lions, he tore up whole mountains and threw them at the engineers.

Wheeler soon regained his courage and turned, and when the other engineers saw him taking his stand, they came back to help him fight the monster. A terrible battle raged, and hardly a living creature was left on Earth. But Wheeler was fated to win, and as Typhon tore up huge Mount Blackpool garage to hurl at the engineers, Wheeler struck it with a hundred well-aimed supercharged BHP and the garage fell back, pinning Typhon underneath. There the monster lies to this very day, belching fire, lava and smoke through its exhausts.

Tuscan, his hideous mate, escaped destruction. She cowered in a dealer showroom , protecting Typhon's offspring, and Wheeler let them live as a challenge to future heroes. Tuscan and Typhon's children are the Griffith, Cerbera, Tamora, the Chimera, the Sphinx, and the Hydra

Hopefully they rename the T350 as the "Vixen".

It's a bit irrelevant unless you can actually buy one. The T440R has been around for ages, but are there any in private hands? Not that I know of. It doesn't exist.

There's 1 on the road, and 2 in build apparently. There was a thread about it a few weeks ago - the owner posts on here sometimes.

I had a T440R on order for a couple of years (it was called the Tuscan R when I ordered it though). I got bored waiting and cancelled it in the end. I didn't see any chance of them delivering it within my lifetime, and it would have been pretty useless to me if they had, as I was doing a lot of miles. I'd have been at the dealer for at least one day a week

There's a T440 up in Harrogate. I just had a look inside today as I was passing by.
Looks nice inside and even has 4 seats. A bit of a family motor I guess!!!

TVR Typhon...(Named after the Eurofighter Typhoon)

Word from TVR is it won't be ready for another 20 years
