Gents and Mel,
Has anyone tried either 'Water Wetter' or 'Engine Ice' in their intercooler water systems as well as or instead of anti-freeze in order to improve the 'conductivity' of the coolant?
A lot of the racing fraternity use it as a replacement for anti-freeze in their normal engine coolant systems and it's supposed to lower engine temperatures and stop hot spots forming.
I thought it might help to lower the inlet air temps in blower installations too, especially this time of year..... scratchchin
I suppose the only potential worry is to be careful not to foul up the electric water pump.

Thought about this yesterday as my pump packed up last week, however I could not find any concrete proof that it worked especially with antifreeze as well.
I did however fit a 26 litre pump in place of the previous 15 litre one and to be honest it has made little difference the water does not get that hot even with AITs of 60+ degrees.
I think the main issue is the AIT sensor appears to be brass and suffer from heat soak, that and the fact it is not that fast to change even when you start moving large amounts of air through the manifold.
The plastic LS2 version used on the Maggie installs can be modified to change quicker. I have no idea what AIT sensor is used on a LS1 Harrop 112 installs like mine, does anyone know? perhaps the same mod may work on it?
