Touring Scotland mid July for 7 days

Arran is well worth a visit. I drove up the West coast and on to John o' groats in April. Started off in Arran got ferry off other side to Claonaig, then up to Loch Earn, Fort William - climbed Ben Nevis, Skye, Applecross (http://www.stevecarter.com/bestuk.htm), Ullapool, JoG then back down the A9. I did this in 6 days. Highlights were Arran, Skye, Applecross and Durness.

Depends what you want to do, I was mainly looking for good roads to drive but there are plenty of hills to climb if thats your thing.

West Highlands & Isle of Mull. Not long back and it was fantastic. Midges will be busy then though!
