What posesses people to do it, we've just found one in a field of ours and because the crop has been crushed we've lost between £800 - £1000 of crop just so someone can create some 'artwork' and that doesn't include people walking through the field trampling it and the cretin who rode his quad through it.

just charge a load of muppets to view it and "absorb its energy' and you'll make that money back in no time.

worst I am a farmer thread ever...

Is the problem exacerbated because it has a footpath or access?

I'd always presumed that you didn't have a right to go into a field unless this was the case.

Do they break gates to get access to make these circles or do them with their feet?

P.S. I am jut curious - I have no sympathies towards the crop circle pests. It's a truly idiotic activity.

Have you got a picture of the crop circle?

Now I don't condone this sort of brazen vandalism and faux religious type activity, some of the designs are very creative. If its some random flat patches that look like some fat bird got gaped in your field then I suggest you do what farmers do best and shoot the feckless mongs for trespassing.

I'd always assumed crop circles were made by boozed up farmers in old Subaru Justy's...

No there's no access but you get people who think it's ok to wander across land.
I'll take a photo tomorrow, it's not very creative just a load of flattened circles across the field.

Is there still a ban on anti-personnel land mines?

The ones that'd blow a leg off but wouldn't damage your average Massey Ferguson.

You guys are so closed minded.

Don't you realise this is the attempts of an alien super-consciousness trying to communicate with us?

Invest in a few of these, should keep the "visitors" down to a minimum
