Boot latch mechanism Griff & Chimp

(The Chimp one might be heavier duty for the extra lard boot it has )


Anyone know what its off ? Not the electricery bit, the actual mechanical catch...

I gather the bonnet catch is from either an escort or fiesta so would it be naive to assume the bonnet would be similar?

Can't remember what it looks like exactly, but the Escort mk2 boot catch looks right

Looks very similar but no cigar, yet (could be TVR modified i suppose )... No long plate dropping down with the two holes, spring looks to heavy/big & release arm is longer on mine... Will get a pic/take it off tomorrow & have a good look

MK1 is similar to the MK2 Escort, so its not that then

I reckon both would be ok, looks like the triangular plate with the 2 holes is cut off, also a longer bar is welded on the release arm

I've tightened mine up & its better than before but i still think the stop latch could come over slightly more, hopefully have another one on its way to see if its any better
