Rear wheelarch clearance on 89 Turbo SE

Hi,

could somebody with a UK Turbo SE take a look at the photo I have placed in my profile and let me know if the distance between the top of the rear tyre and wheel arch is normal please? I have looked at other photos and they all seem to have a much smaller gap. Have these other vehicles been lowered or am I mistaken?
