If you mean the coil when you say "barrel", who cares what the make is? It's likely made by LUCASfer, Prince of Electrical Darkness. If so, dump it in the trash bin and go get a nice Mallory or MSD.

I always assumed it was Rover SD1. Try Rimmers

if it's 1984 it could well be the early TR7 column - there is a big TR7 spares place up hereabouts - somewhere round Haslingden/Rossendale I seem to recall. I got a whole new column shaft for mine for a tenner! Easy to tell which one u got anyway - the Tr7 is crappy and doesn't adjust whereas the Rover one is less crappy and is adjustable.
