My sis texted me tonight it is her birthday next week and she wants a watch! Her boyfriend and her have been looking and she has seen Tissot and Rotary watches she likes within their budget. She asked me if they were any good and I said they were ok but might be worth spending a bit more and getting a second hand watch. I said that I reckoned bigger mens style watches were trendy for girls at the moment and she should look at a second hand mens classic. I said I was happy to throw some money into the pot rather than have to think of my own present to buy her! So my question is where might I be able to find a decent old watch and can I get something decent for £300 ish or am I dreaming?

If they are trendy at the moment, what's going to happen in 3 or 4 years time?

In 3-4 years, he's have the opportunity to buy her another birthday gift with the current style and take her bigger watch for himself!

Yep good idea I could steal it back for myself and buy her something else. Or maybe she will have piled the pounds on by then and it won't look so chunky!!!
