PS3 saved game data

Is there any way to get saved game data from one PS3 onto another? I have been playing a game on a mates PS3 and have now just bought the game for mine, and want all that info for my PS3 when i first put the game in. can i just bung something on a usb drive and put it on the other console? where is it saved? am i asking to many questions?

thanks mate, will give it a shot. Not sure if it will work when i try to copy it over to the other console but no harm trying i guess as i have no saved game data on there for it at the moment.

I did read that you can save game data onto PSN, then when you are on your mates console, log into PSN with your account and download the game data onto your mates HDD, but I'm not sure how to do that exactly.

You can copy the save file, but any achievements won't copy with it - you need to earn them on your own console.
