Hello!

My cartridge wont release from my XJR V8. When I press the little button it makes a noise as if its 'trying' to ejeect it, but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Had this recently, with a code E 01 coming up. I had to ease/prise it out.

Seem to think that I may have had similar problem at times with other Jags - same solution.

Ok since.

Assume I put it in wrong or something.

I had this back in the autumn time, also with E01 error code. I found the cd changer is really easy to remove and then the cover comes off easily. I just lightly lubricated the cogs and `runners`, moved them manually and then connected everything back up together. No problem since. Took me 45 minutes max to fix in total, with the most fiddly bit being refitting the boot carpet.

I had this E01 and may have been coincidental but was able to eject it after changing the battery (had to put the radio code back in afte rbattery swap). It could just have been the prodding I gave it though!

I get this from time to time, push the cassette back in, it moves a few mm's in, it will spring forward a bit, repeating this, gently, and then pressing the eject will eventually release it, I bought and Itrip and don’t use it so much now.

I had a similar problem and sent it to www.fixmyradio.co.uk - about £55 to repair although they did badly scratch the new cartidge I'd bought. Still working fine after 4 years.

Thanks for the responses, chaps.

Have tried 'prodding it', to no avail. So looks like I need to strip it down!
