If you have the time to read the whole thread then do but can anybody believe this prcensoredck by the name of WIG933 (Lambo owner) on the second page of the below thread/link? I'm sure us Monaro owners wouldn't take his attitude to a bit of charity for the not so privileged out there...

thats made my blood boil and i actually feel hurt for this lads mum Heather. the TVR boys are great people with a grip on whats really important in life .. well done i say. its sickening to take a look at what this blokes got on his drive and in his garage .... its gotta be said "what a complete loser"
our forum members on vxronline.co.uk are doing something similar for a young lads prom in halifax ... just cus we want to. no strings. no fees. just want him to have the best send-off we could do for him with astra vxrs, corsa vxrs, vxr8s and the list is still growing although no ferrari or lambo's

Tempting but I would need at least £100 for fuel in my wheezy CV8 as it only does 2 miles to the gallon......................at Santa Pod

its 140 miles and 2hrs 45mins each way .. but sod it a mates a mate in my eyes and it'll be good to catch up. plus the smile on his lads face will be great, and having his Dad driving the VXR8 with an even bigger smile on his face will be worth it the prom will be blown away by around 15 various tuned vxrs all adding a bit to the overall symphony
heres a few links if anyone on here would like to grace us with their V8 presence www.vxronline.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=55432

Without being tongue in cheek.

It is tempting but not sure a CV8 would be overly welcome.

Hi Rocklandboy. I hope all Ferrari/Lambo owners don't get labled under the same banner,I and many others do charity rides, giving our time, and taking no petrol money,or other payment.
I have given rides for weddings, birthday's and the like also, and only asked that a contribution is made to a charity of the persons choice. The last occasion of charity rides raised £2.5k on Saturday, and £3.2k on Sunday.
I feel priveliged to be the owner of a nice car,and if others can share my enjoyment, and,or,benefit also that's great.
People like this really don't help do they.

ps I'm not a rich man.

I might be reading it wrongly (and havent read whole thread yet), but isnt his point that he'd rather do it for nothing than a fiver which is a bit of an insult in his eyes? Maybe I read it wrong, I'll go take another look!!

Now come on people, be a little nicer to WIG933, he may badly need that money to have the cock removed from his head and have it placed more discretly up his own arse !

If a less well off person offered to give something, it would be as a gesture (and a magnanimous one at that given their financial circumstances) and should be accepted with the good grace in which it was made. I don't think I mistook the general tone in which the comments were made.

way I see it, if the lads family can't afford a lambo then why raise his expectations in life by getting him picked up in one.

Imagine offering to do this and you end up taking your 100k+ car to pick the lad up and its in some pikey estate like Blackbird Leyes. Best just to send them on the bus, keepin it real

Horses for courses. I would be quite happy to do one for a genuine case.
