On a run to Birmingham and back, I got 297.8 miles from 10 gallons of leaded.
I was also stuck in traffic for a bit in Birmingham, and on the M1 for about 1/2 an hour.
This was in a 4.3 pre-cat Griff.

This was my first long trip in 'Tivver' and it was superb. I think the Griff is every much as good a grand tourer as the Chimaera.

OK put it the other way around, who uses the most in the least travelled.

Depends if you measure it at the front wheels or the rear.

I do appreciate the OBVIOUS comments that indirectly say that I should be booting it and enjoying the thrills.
But the purpose of the topic was to prove that TVR's are not just the gas guzzling beasts everyone says they are. Yes, they CAN be, if you want. BUT, they also have the ability to be a decent grand tourer that can return pretty good mpg.
The ability, thats all.......

With a failing clutch on a long motorway journey, I managed over 300 miles on a tank which accepted 54 litres when next filled. Not sure what that is in old money.

Very boring though, much more interesting was 145 miles on a tank.

I'm sure Mr. Heath would win the highest fuel consumption with the 520 being measured in gallons per mile.
