Since i've had the exhaust done (baffles out, straight pipes thru) when i start the beast it takes at least 10 sec for the rev counter to move.

Before when i started it, the rev counter would move straight to 1200 rpm then drop to 800-900 when warm.
Now it takes 10 sec then moves to 1000 then 1200 when warm 800-900.

It can't be the exhaust mod can it??
Any suggestions

Hi Dave,

Dont know but could it be something to do with the idle sensor. with the below freezing weather conditions recently too it may not of done that before in the warmer weather so.
Is it the same on start up when the engine is warm??

I have the same mod on my exhaust and rev counter works imeadiately as you would expect. Me suspects a coincidence as I cannot see how the exhaust mod can affect the rev counter ?!*??
