Mrs has lost her iPhone
Discussion
She left it in the baby change of a well known baby store, went back 5 mins later and it had already gone. The store manager has refused to look at the CCTV tapes as it is against company policy. (I'll deal with her later)
Naturally, I refused the generous offer of insurance from O2 when I bought it, but looking at the T&Cs it specifically excludes loss in a public place.
As I'm stuck at work and the O2 website is down, what happens next? It is already barred. Do I have to shell out for a PAYG and go from there? I'm hoping that it is just an iPod touch now ie) blocked from any network? Shame there's no remote wipe for it.
Does anyone know of insurance that covers iPhones (most exclude) that would have paid out in this circumstance?

School boy error not getting it insured though!
But in this instance it would have been useless according to the OP. And indeed, where would you get insurance that covers this sort of thing as it is my worst nightmare!
When you take out the contract 02 offered it.
He did'nt take them up with that & uses his bank (lloyds) to insure it for about £6

WTF! So what, exactly, is the point of having CCTV?http://www.channel4.com/news/microsites/M/mark_tho...

And what would the OP do even if he saw who went in next and pocketed the phone? If he wants the Police involved he should get them to pursue it, not give the store manager grief.

I just realised I think I'm insured under my bank account! Thanks!
Anyone know how you find out what type of account you have on Lloyds net banking? :S
Insurance comes with any of the added value accounts but you have to elect to activate and register your phone on it obviously before the event...Anyone know how you find out what type of account you have on Lloyds net banking? :S
