Seat bolt removal - Help please

Need to take the seats out of the Tam to get some new moo cow applied. Rear bolts appear to be fixed and the nuts were removed/replaced with only the minimum of fuss.

The front bolts are a pain in the ar*e. The bolts appear not to fixed like the rears and whilst they have freed off the nuts have siezed. I have tried wedging a flat blade down the side of the seat rail but there is too much flex in the rail to stop the bolt spinning. Any ideas?

Do I grind the bolts off from the bottom under the car or drill the heads off the bolts between the seat rails? or are there any other options?

When i removed mine from the Tuscan and the Sagaris was able to get a ring spanner onto the nut in the runner at the front was very tight but possible.

Hi Shep,

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when I had to take the seats out. When you get them out you will see why the fronts are different to the backs.

I had to get a friend to shove a screwdriver very hard down the side of the bolt to stop it from spinning, this worked on three of the bolts but the forth we had to angle grind off and then down to B&Q where we got a new bolt and nut.
