Does anybody know of a way of resetting the "due service" warning on a V8 Vantage dash without having to plug it into the dealers computer?

The service light indicator has to be reset by an AM dealer or an indipendent dealer.
It is a plug in job!!

I don't recall mine coming on.

Is it a message in the console? Or a light?

its a message

and theres no way for and end user to do it, unless you have the AM diag software on your laptop of course wink

take it to Rick at DMS if you are servicing it yourself and the light resetting........

O.K. people, after a bit of research here it is. Yes you can reset the service reminder on a V8 Vantage.
Doors closed.
Ignition on
Hold T1/T2 button on dash and trip button on left hand column stalk at same time for approx 7 seconds.
Hey presto, your service due warning should now be reset.
This should also work for DB9 although I haven't tried it yet.

Resurrecting an old thread:

The method for me was not as above, Steve (Aston 1936) gives a guide here:

https://aston1936.com/2017/03/31/resetting-the-tim...

But this also didn't work on my 2005 DB9, however, this did:

Doors closed
Ignition position 1
T1/T2 button in
After ALL 6 ding sounds the warning Amber triangle did start to flash so I released the T1/T2 button on the 4th flash as per other Google searches and hey presto.

I think the flashing Warning triangle only happens after the full System Check.

Used Redpants method recently, worked first time

https://www.redpants.lol/service-required-reset

strangely enough similar to our Volvos but then thats where the electronic system came from on earlier generations
